Rates
One shipping price, wherever you are. Rates are set in Australian dollars and converted to your currency, so the figure below is the figure checkout charges. Free standard delivery starts at $99 of goods, before shipping.
| Option | Price | Where | What you get |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard, order under A$99.00 | A$9.95 | All four countries | Tracked, dispatched on business days |
| Standard, order A$99.00 and over | Free | All four countries | Same service, no charge |
| Express, any order value | A$14.95 | All four countries | Faster handling. Inside Australia that is Australia Post express post. Outside Australia the service is named on your tracking link. |
What to expect, market by market
The price is the same wherever you are. What changes is who carries the parcel, how long it takes, and what your own government does to it on the way in.
| Destination | Charged in | Carrier | Delivery estimate | Tax at checkout | On arrival |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Australia | AUD | Australia Post, parcel post or express post | Standard 3 to 7 business days, express 1 to 3 business days. Metro addresses sit at the fast end of that range and regional ones at the slow end. | Price includes 10% Australian GST | Nothing. This is a domestic delivery. |
| United States | USD | Named on the tracking link we email when your order ships | Varies with the route and with customs clearance. Tracked from dispatch. | Nothing added. No US sales or use tax. | US Customs and Border Protection can charge duty and the carrier can add a brokerage fee. Yours, not ours. |
| Canada | CAD | Named on the tracking link we email when your order ships | Varies with the route and with customs clearance. Tracked from dispatch. | Nothing added. No GST, HST, QST or PST. | The CBSA can assess duty and tax on delivery and the carrier can add a handling fee. Yours, not ours. |
| United Kingdom | GBP | Named on the tracking link we email when your order ships | Varies with the route and with customs clearance. Tracked from dispatch. | Nothing added. No UK VAT. | HMRC can charge import VAT, and duty above the threshold, and the carrier can add a clearance fee. Yours, not ours. |
Delivery estimates count business days from dispatch, not from when you place the order, and they are estimates rather than guarantees.
Worth knowing about each market
- Australia
- PO boxes and Australia Post parcel lockers work on both services, and your order confirmation is your tax invoice.
- United States
- Give a street address where someone can sign if the carrier asks. Some international services will not deliver to a PO box.
- Canada
- Our returns address is in Toronto, so a Canadian return is the shortest trip of the four.
- United Kingdom
- Use the full postcode. UK carriers route on the postcode before they read the street.
Import duties and taxes
- The price at checkout covers the goods and the shipping. Nothing else.
- If a charge applies, the carrier normally collects it before or on delivery.
- Refusing the parcel does not cancel the charge. It usually means the parcel comes back to us and the return freight comes out of your refund.
- Thresholds and rates change. Your national customs website is the only current source, and it is worth two minutes before a large order.
- If you are charged and you think it is wrong, that is a conversation with your customs authority, not with us. We will send any paperwork you need.
Tax, country by country
Prices on this site are set in Australian dollars and the Australian dollar price includes 10% Australian GST. That is where the price comes from, so it is worth being straight about what it means for you.
- Australia
- The price includes 10% GST. Your order confirmation is your tax invoice. Nothing further is charged on delivery.
- United States
- No US sales or use tax is added at checkout. Import charges, if any, are collected by the carrier on delivery.
- Canada
- No GST, HST, QST or PST is added at checkout.
- United Kingdom
- No UK VAT is added at checkout. Import VAT and duty, if any, are collected by the carrier on delivery.
That is what happens to your money, and it is settled. You are charged in the currency shown on the page, the figure at checkout is the figure charged, and we add nothing to it afterwards. Anything your own customs authority charges when the parcel arrives is separate from that, is set by them rather than by us, is not included in what you pay here, and is covered in the section above.
When your order leaves us
- Dispatch days
- Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays
- Same day cut off
- We do not publish one. We will not put a clock on the page and then miss it by an hour. If you need something to leave today, message us before you order and we will tell you straight whether it can.
- Business hours
- Mon to Fri, 9am to 5pm ET
- What happens after you order
- Your confirmation email arrives straight away. When the parcel is packed and the label is created you get a second email with a tracking link, and that link is where the carrier, the service and the parcel itself all show up.
- On an international order
- You are the importer of record, which is what puts any duty or import tax in your name rather than ours. The duties section above sets out what that means in practice.
- Orders placed on a weekend or a public holiday go out the next business day.
- You get a tracking number by email the moment the label is created. If the tracking has not moved by the next evening, that is normal, scans can lag the parcel.
- If something in your order turns out to be short on stock we email you the same day with the options, we do not sit on it.
- Support runs on Eastern Time, so a message sent late in the Australian afternoon is answered the following morning our time.
Who carries it
- Australia, standard
- Australia Post parcel post
- Australia, express
- Australia Post express post
- United States, Canada, United Kingdom
- Named on the tracking link emailed at dispatch, along with the service the parcel is travelling on. Call us before you order if you need to know sooner.
- Tracking
- Emailed on dispatch for every order, every destination, both services
- Signature
- Not required by default in Australia. An international carrier may require one at their discretion.
Aerosols, liquids and dangerous goods
Hairspray, dry shampoo, some nail products and most fragrances are classed as dangerous goods for air freight. That is a real constraint and it shapes how fast they move.
- Inside Australia they travel by road, which is why an order with a can of hairspray in it can reach Perth, Darwin or far north Queensland several days later than the same order without one.
- Air is the only practical route on a long international leg, so an aerosol in the box can slow an international order down or stop it entirely.
- If speed matters more than the aerosol, split it into two orders and we will send the rest on the faster service.
- Express post on a dangerous goods order inside Australia is upgraded handling, not air freight.
- We cannot ship aerosols to Norfolk Island or to any address that is served by air only.
- Tell us the product before you order an aerosol to an address outside Australia. Pressurised and flammable goods travel by road or sea rather than by air, some services will not carry them at all, and checking takes a minute where a can in the wrong box strands the whole parcel in a freight depot.
Addresses we can and cannot use
- PO boxes and Australia Post parcel lockers are fine on both services inside Australia.
- Outside Australia, give a street address. Many international services will not deliver to a PO box.
- Business addresses are fine. Use the company name in the address line so reception can find it.
- We deliver to Australia, the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom and nowhere else. An order to any other country will be cancelled and refunded in full.
- We cannot redirect a parcel once it is with the carrier. Contact the carrier directly with the tracking number.
If it does not turn up
- Check the tracking first. Most missing parcels are sitting at a depot or a post office waiting on a card that blew off the door.
- If tracking says delivered and it is not there, check with neighbours and around the property, then contact us within 7 days of the delivery scan.
- If tracking has not updated for 5 business days on a domestic order, or 10 on an international one, tell us and we will open an investigation with the carrier. Australia Post allows up to 10 business days for that, and an international investigation usually takes longer.
- If a parcel arrives damaged, photograph the box and the contents before you unpack any further and send us the photos the same day.
- If a parcel is held in customs, the carrier will normally contact you for payment or paperwork. Answer it quickly, held parcels get returned to sender.
Invoices and paperwork
Your order confirmation is your invoice and, for an Australian order, your tax invoice. If you need it reissued to a company name, send us the order number and the details. If you need the customs paperwork for an international parcel, ask and we will send what we have.
